It is not too late for you to send in your ballot. Election East Alabama Mental Health officials will count all ballots received after Election Day, regardless of whether they are dated September 14th or earlier.

Your ballot can be dropped off at designated dropboxes before the election or at your polling location on Election Day. However, you will need to check with your county for details.

Although recall attempts are common, it is rare for a petition that collects enough signatures to be on a ballot. The secretary of state stated that since 1913 there have been 179 recall efforts by state elected officials in California. Eleven recall attempts collected enough signatures for the ballot, and six of them were successful in obtaining the recall of the elected official.

It is worth noting that the minimum number of signatures required to recall a governor from California is the lowest in the country. A smaller number of signatures is required for Montana and Virginia than California. California is large, so a recall campaign in many large media markets can be costly.
